Tablets everywhere

As I take the subway downtown I am surrounded by a crush of people reading tablets. The Playbook seems fairly common but I see I-Pads and some I cannot identify. I wonder if they are better than an old-fashioned newspaper for reading purposes?

Yes! I have a Kindle. It holds hundreds of books, and the battery lasted me an entire week on holidays. Magazine and newspaper subscriptions are available by wifi.

Plus, the Globe is half the price of the paper copy delivered to my door.
