Conditional sentences should be considered whenever legally possible

R v Dormevil (unreported OCJ June 8, per Green) is a careful decision that emphasizes conditional sentences should be considered whenever their conditions precedent are met. The case also stands for the proposition that incarceration should be used with restraint.

I have a copy of the case for anyone who needs it. It should be online within a week.
