No. The difference is the man in prison is there, paid for with my taxes, in order to protect me from him. The man at Harvard pays his own way. Nice false analogy, though.

Good point Rat. In fact, after I posted this I thought about a follow-up as to the admission process -- I doubt I could have gotten into Harvard at 18 but prison -- a cinch. All that said, the point remains -- prison is damn expensive and should be reserved. For people we really need to keep out of society. Thanks for the comment.
