Freedom of speech is not a defence to, say, a fraudulent prospectus. Writing "healthy elixir" on a bottle of poison is not protected speech. And, except in California it seems, calls to kill specified individuals (be they Presidents or unwanted spouses) are not allowed as part of free expression.
The question is where is the line to be drawn.
A few years ago obscenity laws were generally accepted and "adult" films were illegal -- today, in North America, they are commonplace. On the other hand, comments about race and gender that were at worst considered vulgar a generation ago today may be the subject of correction by a human rights tribunal.
Times change and what is permissible change. That said, I cannot see how a call to murder a specific person can be protected speech:

In Canada is it not a specific crime to "counsel someone to commit a crime". Not so in California I guess. What about "inciting a riot" is that OK, too.

4. TAXPAYER FUNDED ABORTION RIGHT UP UNTIL THE MINUTE BEFORE BIRTH,
and the list can go on and on.......................
Warren Kinsella wrote on his own blog today that he is a "ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT" type.
He is a big shot within the Liberal establishment so what this tells me is that the Canadian Government including Harper is leading Canada into a ONE WORLD ORDER.
No wonder the massive influx of different cultures ,the destruction of the traditional family, the dumping on Christianity, and the destruction of Canadian Nationalism. Marxism is the cause of this and students are being taught this daily while they live on the dole.
Morton, you and your ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT friends are the BIGGEST THREAT to every single living Canadian.
This is A LIFE OR DEATH situation for Americans and Canadians.
