'My Canada Doesn't Include Quebec': Hudak says he’ll cancel Quebec contract

We are supposed to have free trade within Canada -- and that's the sort of thing PC's should understand -- still it seems Mayor Ford doesn't really understand economics so why should Tim Hudak?

TORONTO Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak pledged to suspend one out-of-province contract and reiterated a promise to scrap another Sunday while touting his plans for job creation in Ontario.

The Tory leader's commitments drew Liberal warnings that breaking sealed deals would be reckless and expensive for the province.

Hudak, however, said it was all part of his party's plan to secure employment and savings for Ontarians.

Hudak has already pledged to scrap a $7-billion green energy deal with Samsung, but hasn't revealed how much it will cost. On Sunday, he added another contract promise to his campaign.

Hudak said if elected Ontario's premier Oct. 6, he would suspend a $120-million deal to refurbish GO trains that was awarded to a Quebec company.

As opposed to the premiere who wants to suspend all new jobs in Ontario with skyrocketing hydro rates. The damage from this alone is enough to turf McGuinty. We'll see....

Free trade between provinces in Canada? Seriously? From what I can see there are more inter-provincial trade barriers than there are between Canada and any number of nations. Just look at the way Canadian wines are handled for trade. Or the way that credentials are used to prevent inter-provincial work by professionals. Ontario Bar Association anyone?
