Obama's jobs speech

It wasn't a bad speech and it's not a bad plan; but somehow it feels a bit 'same old same old'.

Put otherwise, if it hasn't worked before why should it work now?

Still, the President can't ignore the American unemployment rate (which will hurt Canada too -- make no mistake) and I don't have any better ideas so all we can do is hope it works:

His whole jobs plan is just a sneaky socialist scheme to get him re-elected by fixing the economy. Republicans will have no part of allowing the economy to be fixed if it means Obama might get re-elected.

President Obama is creating "A sneaky socialist scheme to fix the economy and put people to work" and you have a problem with this? He's trying to save the country from total collapse .... of course the Republicans couldn't possibly be a part of that. There's nothing in it for them. Their plan is to let 14 Million Americans starve & die "just so they can get elected". Nice... where's the moral compass there?

Obama wants to pump a half trillion dollars (it is an odd feeling to type "trillion")into the economy in hopes that there is enough improvement in the short term to win re-election.

After that, all bets are off.

This would be the second time for such action. Does anyone doubt a third will be needed? Who will pay? Does anyone care?
