OTTAWA—The United States is looking at building fences along the border with Canada to help keep out terrorists and other criminals.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has proposed the use of "fencing and other barriers" on the 49th parallel to manage "trouble spots where passage of cross-border violators is difficult to control."

Where will they build these fences--on their land, or ours?
I watched a CBC report some years back, after the 9/11 hysteria. America has moved the US border 10 miles onto Canadian soil.
The person they were speaking with stated that if anyone steps foot over the line, they will be arrested. When the reporter pointed out that the person walking on that land would still be on Canadian soil, the guard replied, "Not anymore."
They claim they need those extra 10 miles as a "buffer zone". And yet, Harper as PM at that time, sat back and did nothing about America taking 10 miles of our land as their "buffer zone".
I every time spent my half an hour to read this weblog's articles all the time along with a cup of coffee.
