The cost of lifting every Canadian out of poverty is $12B

To raise that much money you need to raise GST by 2%. Hmmn, remind me, isn't that the amount the Conservatives cut the GST?

I remember a politician winning an election promising to cut it by 7%, along with scrapping NAFTA.

They say anything to get elected.

Funny Morton. You're a funny guy.

Poverty in Canada and especially Toronto equals having the following.

Free health care.
Free housing.
Free education.

Cell phone.
Computer.
Car.
Parties.
Lots of sex.

The poor in Canada are morally poor.

Not materially poor.

Morton is a marxist. He wants two classes of people.

Him and friends are the rulers.

The rest are the workers.

If Morton or Mc-Giggles cared about poverty they would raise welfare and disability and lower capital gains and corporate taxes.

But all we get is higher taxes, more public sector employees and more inflation.

Morton is a classic Marxist-Communist.

He talks like he cares about the people, but he only cares about power and keeping it.

If you think I'm mistaken, show me any country in human history where Morton's ideology has not lead to the deaths of millions of people.

Morton believes his friends should control every aspect of an individuals life.

Morton believes that state education and indoctrination is healthy.

Morton and his friends need to be fought and every turn and stopped in their tracks as soon as possible.

I get a huge smile on my face every time I read about the 4 billion de government must cut from somewhere or other to meet its deficit target - as I always think about that 12 billion dollars. Worldwide recession or not this government has done everything in its power to endebt future generations of Canadians.

We're going to tax and buy our way out of poverty?
More "Canadian values" that don't pass the smell test.
