Now I am not sure that problem is nation wide, and Jim Karygiannis has recently been doing a bang-up job on outreach, but the truth is Conservatives have been visible and we have been, at best, less so.
This is not just an ethnic outreach issue. We have been missing in many Ridings for things like Remembrance Day, the Santa Clause Parade and Easter Egg Hunts.
We can fix this easily. All it takes is a phone call or an e-mail and the local Riding Association can participate -- and participating raises the profile, is fun and is the right thing to do!

I had a good talk a few days ago with a leading Quebec Liberal. This Liberal said to me that in recent years the CPC had done well because at every special ethnic event there was a Conservative. And there were not Liberals (at least attending as Liberals).
I've at that experience at spring festival held by my community in Toronto back in 2010. The Conservatives were there handing out paper hats and material to people. It was a sunny day and so quite a few people ended up wearing the hats with the Conservative logo on it.
Anyway, it's good to know that we can be more proactive.
