While municipal officials urged the Occupy Toronto movement to peacefully end its month-long encampment at St. James Park, the protesters are pondering whether to appeal a judgment that upheld the city’s right to evict them.

Ontario Superior Court Judge David Brown ruled Monday morning that the city's eviction notice was a reasonable infringrement on the protesters' Charter right to freedom of speech.

I'm still trying to grasp the fact that a court order was needed to get people to stop camping in a city park. Its an indication of how our elected officials have failed. I believe in the OWS protests, what I dont believe in is our elected officials picking and choosing who gets to obey our laws based on the morality of the protest, and, thats what has happened.

I agree with billg

Water cannons would end it peacefully and in a hurry. My two cents....
