Perry's Painful Performance

This is the end for Perry.

It is painful to watch.

You have to wonder if he never had media training?

Rule #1 NO DEAD AIR.

If he forgot the third agency he should have just moved on and said, 'and let me tell you more about why [agency #2] has to go' [blah blah blah]:

Texas Gov. Rick Perry admitted Thursday he "stepped in it" with a humiliating 53-second brain fog during a televised debate last night, but he tried to tough it out in a series of interview.

What I still don't know is what was the third agency he would cut. What agency could he not remember?

"Perry's moment of embarrassment came when he was asked about one of the main planks of his policy for cutting federal spending, the elimination of three departments.

"It's three agencies of government when I get there that are gone: commerce, education, and the uh ... what's the third one, there? Let's see." He went on to say: "The third one. I can't." He made it worse by adding: "Oops."

Fifteen minutes later he attempted to undo the damage, saying: "By the way that was the department of energy I was reaching for a while ago." But it was too late."

That was funny. I hope they show that in all 57 states that Obama visited.
Oh, but that's right. Only Republican mistakes are covered by the friendly media.
