Toronto Archbishop Thomas Collins elevated to cardinal

This is a significant event and good for all of Canada.

The Roman Catholic Church is central in providing medical care in the Third World, especially Africa, and the role of Canadian medical workers in Africa is well known.

The Archbishop's elevation can only help promote this good work.

You may think this is good news. I am a Canadian and I think it is pathetic that anyone should care what a crumbling, corrupt organization has to say about anything. Any other organization, which is not based in religious superstition, would not get away with the level of arrogance, pedophilia, misogyny and homophobia.
