The 2008 report was recently released from the Department of Justice. No other years appear to have been reported. Note, these figures will be very significantly impacted by the recent crime bills.

Total Prosecution Costs: $528,249,551

Total Criminal Court Costs: $672,392,760

Total Correction Costs: $4,836,224,546

Total Police Expenditures: $11,448,937,000

Total Legal Aid Expenditures (criminal matters):$380,855,000
