OT: Could you give a few thoughts from a lawyer's point of view on the robocall database?

Recent news makes it clear they track people who do not support them in their database.

Are there privacy laws that govern an organization (specifically a political party) maintaining a dossier on me? They are not the government. They are not law enforcement. They are not an entity with which I have any kind of business relationship. They did not create this record with my consent.

Do I have the right to demand that they show me whatever information they have on me? Do I have the right to demand corrections or deletions?

This is Canada. You have NO RIGHTS.

The government tells you how to live and you better shit up and bend over.

This is Canada where the government owns each citizen.

Santorum was criticizing President Obama’s ties to cultural elites.

“He believes in an America that is ruled by those in authority,” he said, “taking money from some, giving it to those who know better, who are the planners, who are the smart people, the elites in society — the ones who went to the best schools, the ones who come from the right families. And they are the ones who are going to allocate the resources of this country.”

Good question ls; records kept by political parties are not really subject to much regulation. Perhaps that should change. Certainly anyone trying to see their "record" would be resisted and that's not right!
