Statement by Liberal Leader Bob Rae on Passover

TORONTO— Liberal Leader Bob Rae made the following statement today on Passover:

"Today we mark the beginning of one of the most important holidays in the Jewish calendar.

Friends and family in our Jewish communities across the country and around the world will gather to celebrate the strength of the Jewish faith to overcome all obstacles in the pursuit of freedom and tolerance.

On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our parliamentary caucus, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all Canadians celebrating Passover. Chag Sameach!"
