GM to close Oshawa line, throwing 2,000 out of work

Perhaps having Conservative MPs isn't as helpful as one might think?

"As previously announced, the Consolidated Line will cease at the end of (the) scheduled lifecycle for the current-generation Impala. This is currently anticipated to occur in June 2013," the company said in a statement Friday.

Don't worry. I'm sure they'll receive a complementary gazebo.

Doesn't matter which party your MP belongs to, the Reform-Conservatives are going for the gusto. And what is the gusto? The gusto is their war against parliamentary democracy, government, the courts, labour, the environment, first nations, women, human rights and much, much more!

It doesn't get any better than this!

Exactly.

Also, perhaps Jim could take a job on the assembly line when his MP career is over, in the event we can rescind his fat pension.

On another matter, I'm anxiously awaiting the natonal body count of those protesting outside CON offices tomorrow. My estimate - 50,000, of all stripes. Less than that, then the worm hasn't turned enough yet. Something else will come up this summer, though.

"Something else will come up this summer, though."

What will come up? Vic hires a new babysitter? Oiliver receives kickbacks from ExxonMobil? Harper strangles kittens at 24 Sussex? So it could get better, then.

They want more government money. This sort of closure is a negotiating tactic. Yes, it may be permanent. But the reason has nothing to do with the product (the Impala is a very good car) and everything to do with the politics.

Same under Liberal governments, I might add.

Seems Mulcair is right. We have lost more than a few factories.

However, Harper has just made it much easier for Canadians, to shop in the U.S. He doesn't mind losing billions, in revenue for Canada.

However, if people read: Harper gives a speech in New York, at the Council of Foreign Relations, this was Sept 25/2007. You will see, Harper makes his evil agenda, abundantly clear.

Watch out for those sneaked meetings of border talks with, Obama, Harper and Calderon.

Gone are the days when the federal government will fight for the people - like Paul Martin and Jean Chretien did against the auto makers......
