Why filming police is good

Police have a hard job and their actions must not be judged by hindsight or by too fine an analysis. But .... once an accused is restrained violence must not be used. This is a good example of why independent filming or photographing is ago of thing. Some police already have automatic video of arrests - this protects the accused AND the police who can show they behaved properly:
