"None of the First Nations in Quebec" will bend to "a foreign law adopted by a provincial government"

Chief Ghislain Picard in response to PQ Leader Pauline Marois' suggestion that no one who cannot communicate in French should be allowed to run for public office in Quebec. Especially in Nunavik this proposal has not been well received - some Inuktitut speakers simply indicated such law would be ignored and the MNA for Ungava had to issue a statement saying Inuit would not be obliged to speak French.
