Egypt - key points

- The Egyptian army has suspended the constitution and announced the formation of a technocratic interim government ahead of new presidential elections.

- Religious and opposition figures have approved the new political roadmap, saying it aimed for national reconciliation.

- Armoured vehicles are deployed across the streets of the capital, after four days of mass unrest.

- Mr Morsi, who earlier rejected an army ultimatum to reach a deal with anti-government protesters, has denounced the roadmap as a military coup.

- At least 16 people were killed in Cairo when a rally of Morsi supporters came under attack by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday night.
