I believe the Prime Minister's Office chief counsel was Benjamin Perrin. Hamilton of Cassels Brock is chief counsel to the Conservative Party of Canada. In this scenario that's a fairly important distinction.
PMO counsel or CPC counsel - a distinction without a difference in Harperland.
Interesting that Duffy had the foresight to keep a copy of the cheque.
