Autonomy and freedom to choose

The concept of assisted suicide, legalization of marihuana and Gay rights are all tied together. It is perhaps a libertarian view but the freedom to choose is what each issue raises. And such freedom to choose is not limited to causes favoured by the left - it also implies the freedom to contract. These are not trivial issues but given a choice I come down for freedom and autonomy.
