Can anyone inform me why the price of gas changes so frequently? Have just spent a couple of weeks in England and the whole time we were there the price did not move. Of course it was 1:18 GBP ( approx $2:36 a litre) but in spite of the crude oil rising on the market, it did not change at the pumps. Just wondering?

there is no valid reason for the price changing so often, just as there is no reason why gas prices are lower in many small towns in Ontario than they are in Toronto.
In theory, it should cost more to deliver gas to (for example) Pembroke, ON (about 400km NE of Toronto) and yet gas is almost always cheaper there than it is here. The pumps in smaller towns will also generally stay at the same price for a week or more. I don't get it.
