Very sad and totally unnecessary -- impaired driving is a far bigger problem than gun crime -- not to minimize either.
Green candidate killed in Ontario collision
TORONTO (CBC) - A Green party candidate in this month's federal election was killed early Sunday morning in a car crash, the party said.
Pat Gostlin died in a collision involving a suspected drunk driver in Oshawa, Ont., the party said in a news release. Gostlin, a former teacher and union representative, ran for the party in the riding of Oshawa, placing fourth.

Funny how you whine about drunk driving killers but you never whine about their sentences.
Pretty weird thinking.
What say you?
Far enough. I think impaired driving is as serious as any other manslaugher -- where someone is killed -- and where there is no injury the danger is so great as to warrant a real sentence. This is especially so as many (most) impaired drivers can be deterred by sentence. They tend to be middle class men who will not risk jail time. Those who are alcoholics are more difficult to deter but perhaps they can be dealt with as I have suggested in other posts.
What do you think about the Governor General spending over 800 grand on travel last year. Even more than the P.M.
She even has the gall to get free rides on family trips.
What say you?
