Snowmageddon

The phrase "snowmageddon" is clever -- it gives even people with no Bible knowledge a sense of dread and foreboding.

But seriously doesn't it make Canadians from southern Ontario seem a bit silly to compare the final battle for humanity, the end of time, the start of judgment day, to 15 cm of snow?

After all, the rest of Canada already thinks the GTA is pretty wimpy.

Maybe we can call out the Reserves to shovel?

I don't live in TO but in southwestern Ontario near Stratford in a small rural town. We've had snow here every day since Nov. 15th WITHOUT exception. Already having piles of snow everywhere & now this humongous storm with another one coming on Sunday we are, literally, snowed in. ALL roads in & out of here are closed, visibility has been nil for most of the day so far. So to me this is HUGE with no end in sight. I disagree with you. :)

Snowmaggedon made me laugh profusely..especially when I heard it on 680 news with the ominous music in the background.
My Ottawa Valley family never fails to remind me about the time Mel Lastman called in the army. I tried to defend myself but telling them I live in York region, not Toronto, but to them we are all "Toronto folks" and winter wimps.
This afternoon was bad at times, but hardly the end of the world. The main problem were the people in small sports cars who insist on driving in this weather with no snow tires. They could get around corners or up the smallest inclines. They should have stayed home.
