Don't believe everything you read, Rat. If there were any real evidence against Arar, Harper would not have paid him millions of dollars. It is known that the US doesn't always get reliable information with the interrogation techniques they use.
That's an understatement, Anonymous.. and I'm not surprised Con Kool-Aid drinkers like Rat are ready to believe any little thing they hear from a George Bush/Dick Cheney sham trial hearing.
And, anyhow.. you're out of luck Rat. Obama is almost certain not to proceed with this show trial. That its proceeding at all is 1 last gasp by the neo-cons and those who'd rather not have the rule of law apply to these folks to try and embarrass Obama.
By the way,Rat, you conveniently forget that Stockwell Day, the then-Public Safety minister, was shown the American's entire file on Arar, and still publicly said he saw nothing there to change his mind on the Commission declaring Arar innocent, or disagreeing that Arar should remain barred from the uS.
So.. if that claim of Khadr's was in their file.. and there is no logical reason it wouldn't be.. even Stockwell Day found it dubious and rejected it.

Maybe it should proceed. After all, it looks like we let one Canadian terrorist off the hook. Let's not go 2 for 2.
