It's not easy to be a leader

From Idylls of the King by Alfred, Lord Tennyson:

Sir, there be many rumours on this head:

For there be those who hate him in their hearts,

Call him baseborn, and since his ways are sweet,

And theirs are bestial, hold him less than man

I bet it isn't easy especially when a brain is slow in dealing with issues and can't figure out what to do next without consulting the US. How about our leader? I wonder how much more difficult it would be for him if there was a population of 3.4 billion living in Canada or if all Canadians working overseas suddenly returned home on Christmas day. There are 200,000 Canadians working in Hong Kong alone. Why or why can't we have a leader who does what is best for the people of Canada and who listens to the people.
