Rossi's Toronto

It is very hard to be a front runner -- I was a big Hillary supporter.

He may be the frontrunner, but the early signs are not good for George Smitherman.

The presumed chosen one in the race for mayor may end up being the frozen one – and done in by none other than his “Liberal” friends at the Star.

Check out Thursday’s coverage: an editorial taking a shot at Smitherman for doing the “two-step” – advocating for road tolls on one hand, and promising to nix the city’s licensing fee on drivers.

While darts were being flung Smitherman’s way, the Star was creaming all over the other so-called “Liberal” in the race to be mayor, Rocco Rossi.

It's pretty obvious furious George will blow up -- it's either Rossi or Giambrone. And if it's the King of the TTC Lord Help Us All!!!!!

Now now, I think all three could be solid mayors. Smitherman is very competent and gets things done -- but I know and like Rocco. He is persuasive in a very consensus type of way.

And to be clearer, I am backing Rocco

Right now, Michael Taube doesn't have a choice in supporting a Conservative candidate are there are none unofficially. It's like hearing about Harper supporters in BC saying that they will vote for a Liberal in the next BC provincial election. The BC Liberal Party is a quasi-conservative party.

Rocci Rossi holds the ground as the "slash and burn" candidate. He'll cut and privatize things in order to get city hall's financial house in order. If he wants to play that as his strength, that's his choice. Right now, I do think he is weak in community-building. What are his ideas to make our communities better in Toronto? I hope he doesn't bring up "More police officers on our streets."
