Liberal Party Policy Resolutions: Canadian Corporate Responsibility outside Canada

The time to vote on the resolutions is coming rapidly to a close -- November 30. I urge everyone to go online to www.liberal.ca and review the resolutions.

One I think should go to the floor is

65. Canadian Corporate Responsibility outside Canada

This is a sensible resolution that says "if you get Federal grants or support for your business you must uphold Canadian human rights, labour and environmental standards throughout the world." It does not tie a business unless the business takes Federal money -- so it is a compromise -- but it is a good start.
