Poll: CPC 30%, NDP 30%, LPC 20%

I'm not crazy about the numbers but one thing is sure -- the Conservatives have dropped at least ten points:

The New Democrats will begin their leadership convention on Friday with a remarkable wind filling their sails. For the first time in 25 years, the polling firm Environics has them in first place, tied with the Conservatives.

That wind isn't quite as brisk as it might seem: The NDP is not doing better in public opinion, the Conservatives are simply doing much worse. And the Bloc Québécois is surging dangerously in Quebec.

Why are you guys defending your leader against the Tory attack ads? It's unbelievable how little you have learned.

He's only the interim leader. Why waste money defending someone that won't be in the position when election rolls around?

Anon 3.

The Libs do not have any money to waste, otherwise they would. The Libs are very good at that; especially with other people's money.

This poll is interesting if it is accurate. (2,000 phone survey is pretty sound mind you.) However, with no election in the cards for three years I do not think it matters a lot.

What should make you happy is that most of the Conservative losses have become Liberal gains.
