Yes, it is amusing the Stephen Harper accuses the NDP of being soft on Hitler -- one wonders where Harper was when Canadians hit the beach at Dieppe -- but the truth is the Conservatives through their madcap silliness have managed to sideline the real story.
We are going to keep troops in Afghanistan. Propping up a corrupt anti-Christian (let's not even discuss Jewish) misogynist government whose only virtue is that it is not the Taliban.

Agreed. We should have left Afghanistan when the U.S., invaded Iraq. And we should definitely be out now. Too bad all those years of minority government never produced that result, despite the clear wishes of Canadians.
