Sadly for the Liberals, the party was described as bad/incompetent, untrustworthy, good, competent, progressive, powerful and arrogant

This is important. Not because it's true -- it really isn't -- but perceptions count. We have to figure out how to be seen as trustworthy and competent again. I say review the shift to 'New Labour' in the UK -- Tony Blair made Labour seem to be something it hadn't been before.

I say we shift to innovation. We become the party of innovative problem-solving...

Revamp the public service. Revamp the political system. Invest heavily in technology. Revamp healthcare.

I agree with anon. @5:08.
we also have to revamp the voting system like Australia's., which , for a country this size, New Zealands's is not right for us..

While I agree that "perception is everything", sadly, as Liberals, we have to blame ourselves.

It's been at least 10 months since the "rebuilding" began and all we keep seeing and reading in the MSM are the tired old Con frames like "Liberals don't know what they stand for", "Liberals are leaderless", "LPC is dead", etc. etc..

Unfortunately, a lot of these falsehoods are also being promoted by Liberal member pundits. Good heavens, it's almost fashionable to be Liberal-bashing these days.

As a "Liberal Lifer", I have to ask why is the Canadian public not hearing about the progress that has been made since the 2012 Convention? We have a strong leader, albeit interim, excellent MPs who are doing a bang-up job under difficult circumstances. Whatever happened to all the policy resolutions that were passed at the Convention?

Surely, communications with the public must be our first priority. So why is the LPC communication team not doing the job? Where are the Liberal equivalents to the likes of the Con Jamie Watt et al who have worked their way into the MSM promoting the Con deception?

These issues must be answered by the new-guard back-room Liberal Execs. Or, do they have a secret death-wish for the LPC?
