J Douglas Crane QC tribute dinner

J. Douglas Crane, QC
Last night was the J Douglas Crane QC tribute dinner. While Doug continues to be an active lawyer the stories of his years at the Bar were very special. KUDOS to Doug for a distinguished past and an exciting future!

HI, I am trying to reach Mr. Doug Crane, QC. in regards to research I am doing on Saunders Aircraft Corporation originally of Montreal then at Gimli, Manitoba.

In 1975 an ON AIR Saunders Aircraft ST-27 caught fire while being repaired at the Dryden Airport, no injuries but serious fire damage to the left wing.

Mr. Crane represented ON AIR owned by R.J. Ball of Thunder Bay in an insurance claim lawsuit court case at Thunder Bay around March of 1981. Bruce McLean represented the insurance company.

I am trying to find out the court case number, the exact court dates and whether there was a judgment made, any court documents, any lead from Mr. Crane would be of help.

more on the ON AIR ST-27 fire on my blog at https://saundersaircraft.blogspot.com/2019/01/saunders-aircraft-st-27-013-dehavilland.html

Sincerely, ken kalynuk, Winnipeg, MB.

Doug Crane represented Ontario Hydro in arbitrations with CN and CP Rail in the mid 1980's. It appears that he has retired and I can't find an email address. He is quite a character.
